Please come through the village of Burton Leonard to get to Callender House. Some SatNavs will send you the wrong way up Station Lane. This part of the lane is very narrow and ‘one way’ only.
Please also note that Church Lane becomes Straight Lane at some invisible point, so if your SatNav shows that you are on Church Lane, please don’t turn around as you are going in the right direction!
At Junction 48 take the A6055 exit, signposted A168/Boroughbridge/Ripon/Dishforth.
Take the 1st exit at the roundabout onto the A6055 and continue to Minskip.
Follow the road for 0.8 miles through Minskip and turn right to Staveley.
In Staveley, turn right at the T-junction onto Main Street. Continue for 1.1 miles then turn right to Copgrove (and Burton Leonard).
Before getting to Burton Leonard, turn right where signposted Bishop Monkton, Littlethorpe and Ripon and continue for 0.6 miles.
Turn left at the signpost for Burton Leonard.
After the Hare & Hounds pub, and immediately before the church, turn right into Straight Lane.
Callender House is the detached white house half way down the lane on the right hand side.
At Junction 50, take the A61 exit to Ripon/Thirsk.
Follow the A61 for approximately 9.5 miles. Soon after passing ‘Grass Roots’ garden centre on your right, you will turn left at the top of the hill signposted ‘Burton Leonard’.
Drive approximately 1.5 miles into Burton Leonard, and after the village shop and post office on your right, turn left into Straight Lane directly after the church on your left. (You have gone too far if you reach The Hare & Hounds!).

Follow signs for the A61 Ripon.
Continue on the A61 Ripon Road for approximately 7 miles. You will pass ‘The George’ at Wormald Green then, at the top of the hill, opposite the garage, turn right (signposted Burton Leonard).
Drive approximately 1.5 miles into Burton Leonard, and after the village shop and post office on your right, turn left into Straight Lane directly after the church on your left. (You have gone too far if you reach The Hare & Hounds!).

Arrival and Departure Check in is available from 3 pm to 6 pm on the day of arrival. If you are unable to check in before 6 pm, please give us an estimated time of arrival, and call us on 01765 677767 if you are delayed. We ask that you please vacate your room by 11.00 am on the morning of departure.
Reservations and Cancellations Credit or debit card details are required at the time of booking but no payment is taken from that card unless the booking is cancelled within 14 days of the scheduled date of arrival, or you do not show, or you use a different card to pay on departure.
If a booking is cancelled less than 14 days before arrival then a charge equal to 50% of the stay will be made. If the booking is cancelled less than 1 day before arrival then a charge equal to the full booking will be made.
If you fail to arrive at Callender House to take up your booked accommodation (‘no-show’), then you will be liable for the total cost of your booking.
For bookings at peak times, and/or special events, we reserve the right to take a deposit payment equivalent to one night’s room rate.
To make a cancellation at any time prior to arrival you must call us on 01765 677767 or email us. We do reserve the right to treat each case on its own merits, and may choose to vary the conditions as set out above. We are a small business, so cancellations do have a very big impact on us, especially if we have turned away potential guests in favour of someone who has already booked and then cancels. We do, however, appreciate that unforeseen circumstances can occur, and we try to be as sympathetic and helpful as possible in such cases.
Payment Payment is due on the morning of departure and we accept most major credit and debit cards, as well as cash.
Smoking Please note that smoking is not permitted within Callender House.
Children Callender House welcomes children 12 years old and over.
Pets Callender House is not suitable for any pets.
